How the line chart works

Build a game-night line chart in a few minutes: four forward lines, three D pairs, goalies, extras, officials and staff on one letter-size sheet.

Building a lineup

1. Pick the game. The page opens on the next game. Use the game menu for any other.
2. Fill the spots. Tap a spot on the chart, then tap a player, or type a number or name and press Enter. It moves to the next open spot on its own.
3. Narrow the roster with the All, Forwards, Defense and Goalies filters.
4. Fix mistakes with Clear spot, or Clear chart to start over. Copy last saved lineup gives you a starting point.
5. Add officials. Start typing in a Referee or Linesman box to search the AHL's 2026-27 list. New names are remembered, and removing one asks you to confirm.
6. Check staff. Staff come from the team site. Edits show on every chart; clear a line to hide it.

Saving and sharing

• Every change saves to that game automatically.
• Invited editors share one copy, so everyone sees the same lineup. People using only the public link save in their own browser.
• Saved lineups, officials and staff are kept through every data update.

Getting the chart out

• Save as image downloads a letter-size PNG to print, email or post. Empty spots stay blank.
• Copy as text copies the lineup to paste into a message.

Automatic updates

Every morning at about 7:50 AM ET the roster, stats, standings, schedule and staff refresh on their own. Last night's stats appear the next morning, and saved work is never touched.
